Come Out and Join School Council
Parents play a vital role in education. When parents are engaged and involved, everyone — students, parents, families, teachers, schools, and communities — benefits, and our schools become increasingly rich and positive places to teach, learn, and grow.
–Parents in Partnership: A Parent Engagement Policy for Ontario Schools

All Lexington community members are welcome to come out to School Council meetings, which take place throughout each school year. This is a great way to share your thoughts and ideas and to get information about what’s happening at our school.

Attending School Council meetings is a unique way to get to know the principal, some staff members and other parents. Our discussions include information about upcoming events and initiatives, as well as updates on the daily happenings at Lexington. It’s a neat window into the many things that keep our children engaged and excited at school.

School Council meetings are a casual and inclusive way to stay informed and ask questions about our community school and to share your ideas.

All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend, we hope to see you at a meeting soon!
