Thank you to all the parents who took the time to attend our Terry Fox Run on Friday, Sept. 23rd. Congratulations to our Lexington Community who have raised a total of $5107.00 towards the Terry Fox Fund. What a kind, generous community that we live in.

This week, students will be learning about National Truth and Reconciliation Day and Orange Shirt Day which is on Friday, Sept. 30.  Take  time to talk with your children this week about what they are learning to help them understand the meaning and how we can learn from the past. This is an opportunity to promote kindness and inclusiveness within our communities and ensure our students understand that this is not about guilt and shame, but a time to reflect and show empathy to the indigenous peoples and advocate to do better for others in the future.  This is something we try to promote each and everyday here at Lexington P.S. and our educators and students continue to rise to this challenge through their words, behaviours and actions! We encourage all staff and students to wear Orange on Friday to recognize and support National Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day!
