It is with a very heavy heart that the Lexington community mourns the loss of Abigayle Lobsinger, as the result of childhood cancer on Monday, December 21st.

Abigayle, who became known as ‘Waterloo’s Toughest Cookie’ for the positive and courageous way she battled her illness, will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful friend with an amazing smile. 

Along with our teachers and social worker, members of the Board’s Critical Events Response Team have been consulted to support our students and staff.

In honour of Abigayle, the flags at Lexington and the Waterloo Region District School Board will be flown at half-mast this week.
