It was quite a sight to see, a tree branch full of honey bees!! Mr. Romitz, our custodian, noticed the swarm buzzing around the tree. We were concerned about stings and began to investigate how to remove the bees from the property. Thanks to Chris Inch, a local bee keeper, who came out with his friend Mike to retrieve the colony. Honey bees are a protected species, we are so thrilled that we could resucue this colony that came to rest in our tree. As an aside, we learned a LOT about honey bees!
