We are getting really excited about planning for our new play structure! The Playground Committee is working diligently with vendors to acquire quotes and drawings! You will be excited when you see the possibilities.

In the meantime, families have the opportunity to take part in a quick year end fund-raiser for the new playground. We are offering Stemmler’s Pepperettes for sale, Mild, Hot and Turkey. Each package is $5.00. Students should sell to family, friends, sports teams and neighbours they know.

Be sure to start selling today, return order forms and money (cash or cheques written to Lexington P.S.) by June 12.

Pepperettes will be sent home the week of June 23.

Building a new playground is exciting, yet very expensive. To give you an idea, replacing exactly what we currently have could cost up to $45,000!!!!

As you can imagine, we have scaled down our plans. At this point our fundraising goal is $25,000. We are already off to a great start with almost $3000 in our fund.

Parents, you can truly help by spreading the news to community members, neighbours who play on our playground and corporations who would be willing to sponsor. There are many ways for everyone to donate beyond supporting our fundraising efforts:

–       Send a cheque to the school indicating it is for the playground
